Mindfulness For Life
An 8-week community programme
Cultivating Mind-Body Awareness for Enhanced Well-being
Welcome to Mindfulness for Life, an evidence-based eight-week course designed for personal learning and self-discovery. This program aims to promote awareness of your mind and body through cultivating mindful attention. It is ideal for enhancing overall physical and mental well-being, and offering practical skills to better cope with the 'ups and downs' of life, including stress, anxiety, or general dissatisfaction. Learning in a local community setting provides the supportive, shared experience that deepens practice.
Please note: This course is for general well-being and is not a treatment for specific physical or psychological conditions. It may not be suitable for those currently experiencing very severe problems.
Unsure if this is right for you? Book a meeting to explore.
The 8-week Mindfulness programme
The Mindfulness for Life 8-week course blends ancient mindfulness wisdom with modern cognitive-behavioural techniques. This in-depth, skills-based program is designed to help you break free from "autopilot" and integrate mindfulness into the fabric of your daily life.
This 8-week journey is group-based, allowing us to learn and grow together. Our first session is 2.25 hours, with subsequent weekly sessions lasting 2 hours. We also share a 4- hour ‘Day of Practice’ to fully immerse ourselves in the techniques we’ve learned.
Why join this course?
We often get lost in thoughts and feelings or stuck in unhelpful patterns. This course teaches you to:
-
Step out of Autopilot: Stop merely "existing" and start living life more fully.
-
Gather the Scattered Mind: Learn practical ways to return to the present moment.
-
Break Unhelpful Patterns: Recognise negative thinking and meet it with kindness.
-
Find Your Balance: Learn to respond skillfully to life’s ups and downs while opening up to joy and gratitude.

Extensive research into the MBCT-L program suggests that dedicating time to these practices can lead to profound shifts in how we experience life. Participants often discover:
-
A Quieter Mind: A reduction in stress and anxiety, with less time spent worrying or overthinking.
-
Resilience in Difficulty: An improved ability to navigate pain, illness, or life’s inevitable challenges with more composure.
-
Daily Joy: A greater capacity to savour the small, pleasant moments that often go unnoticed.
-
Purposeful Living: Gaining clarity on what truly matters to you, allowing you to live with a stronger sense of meaning and intention.
While the experience is unique for everyone and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, both research and our personal experience show that these positive changes are common, making the commitment to the course truly worthwhile.

I am a qualified mindfulness teacher dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate stress, anxiety, low mood, and the many transitions life brings. My background is uniquely holistic; in addition to my mindfulness training, I hold qualifications in personal training and nutrition, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how our physical and mental well-being are deeply connected.
My Approach I believe mindfulness is a path of discovery that is grounded, practical, and evidence-informed. Rather than teaching a philosophy or a set of rigid rules, my focus is on helping you cultivate mindfulness that you can use every day. By understanding the inner workings of your mind, you can learn to respond more skillfully to life's challenges.
A Safe Space to Grow In my sessions, there is never any pressure to perform, adopt a specific belief system, or share more than you feel comfortable with. We are simply here to practice together in a way that feels authentic to you.
